Taj Mahal India - Epitome of love in the city of love, Agra. The living example of unconditional love. It’s not just a white marble mausoleum, but a tribute of a husband to his wife after her demise. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan got it constructed for the love of his wife Mumtaz who died in 1631 during the delivery of their 14th children. One of the heritage sites of UNESCO, this epitome is now listed under Seven Wonders of the World.

Taj Mahal emits different color at different time of day, depending on weather and sight of moon. Night view of the Taj under full moon is quite romantic and splendid one by lighting up the entire monument with its silver glow. And then as the night passes, Taj shades into shyness of pink.
It has great architect style. It’s a combination of Persian, Islamic and Indian architectural style. 99 names of allah (muslims’ god) are being calligraphed on the sides of tomb of Mumtaz mahal. The whole complex is being decorated with the passages from quran (holy book of Muslims) by Amanat khan depicting themes of judgment and truth.
Taj in center with four minarets at each corner stands out as the dazzling one. It is being constructed in vast zone of 42 acres situated on the bank of river Yamuna, which in turn adds to the beauty and glory of Taj. The entire monument is constructed by white marble that gives magnificent touch and reflects the excellent beauty of mahal. The entire construction is man- made and represents the best work of art. They used material from all over the India and Asia such as the white marble from Rajasthan, jasper from Punjab, turquoise from Tibet, jade and crystal from china, lapis lazuli from Afghanistan, sapphire from srilanka, and the carnelian from Arabia, hereby, taking the best.
The tomb is the central point of Tajmahal, where cenotaph of Mumtaz mahal is placed at the centre of interior chamber. Mahal is decorated with Islamic style char bagh garden which concludes ashoka tree and others small flowers. Darwaza-i-rauza made up of black stone, adorned with Arabic calligraphy and elaborated geometric designs, is one of the main attractions. On western side of Tajmahal, stands splendid monument of red sandstone, mosque complementing to the beauty of Taj. It’s being used for prayer purpose and thus has Mecca facing direction.
